Formed in 2004, See You Next Tuesday made their mark in the world of extreme metal with the release of their albums Parasite (2007) and Intervals (2008), both on Ferret Music. Pushing forth on controlled chaos, the band has been able to evolve since their initial output and Distractions (2023) finds them delving into a new, modern grindcore sound. Generation "Satellites & Suns"

7"EP - $7.50
STREET DATE: 2/16/24
CAT#: SDR-108
LABEL: Sunday Drive

Expressive thoughts & feelings, delivered with melody and hardcore is a quick way to sum up Generation's sound. Formed in 2019 in Manchester, England by a group of friends who've played together and in separate hardcore bands (Insist, Standpoint, Reflect, etc.), one of the goals of the band was to have an everlasting band to write for, for years to come--and in a different approach, stylistically. Generation was introduced through their 2019 LP, "Call It A Life" on IOU Records, which showcased their talent of excellent writing of rev-summer era hardcore. A couple of EPs later, you can begin to hear more progression--still very much inspired by DC Hardcore, but with more melody and leaning into more structured alternative-rock songs--think Hüsker Du or The Replacements mixed with One Last Wish and Dag Nasty. On their first EP since 2021, "Satellites & Suns" greatly showcases the skill and progression that Generation has crafted over the years--three songs, full of catchy hooks and melodies to sing along to or stage dive to.

  1. Satellites & Suns
  2. I Hear They Say
  3. Disheartened

  • Featuring members of Insist (React! Records)
