Forged in the heavy music hotbed of Washington DC, GOETIA emerges from the crypts with an absolutely pummeling 12" EP. Their five song debut brings a relentless assault of neck breaking riffs, bludgeoning drums, and otherworldly vocals, spewing a never ending barrage of curses from beyond.

Started by past and current members of GENOCIDE PACT, BRAIN TOURNIQUET and DERILIANT NERVE, Goetia seamlessly blends feral, occult-inspired death metal with elements of grind, crossover and hardcore/punk. Initially self-released by the band earlier this year, Persistent Vision is proud to give it the formal vinyl release it deserves.

Goetia's self-titled EP was recorded and mixed in March 2023 by Matt Michel at Viva Studio (Portrayal of Guilt, No Man) and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios.

Packaged in a full color jacket with lyric sheet and limited colored vinyl. Comes with a download code, including a bonus track not included on the 12".

Much like the Watership Down inspiration for their previous band Fall of Efrafa, the concept, lyrics and artwork for WREATHE are based on 'The Book Of Venym; An Egalitarian Demonology'. Created by vocalist Alex Bradshaw (Chronic Fatigue Art), 'The Book of Venym' is a call to arms in the defense of nature and against humanities proclivities for violence, told through striking illustrations of benevolent demons and deities.

America can be a cold and callous place. As vast as it is cruel, the modern living experience is often defined by isolation. Pushing back against the doldrums and reaching for community, Massa Nera and Quiet Fear release the collaborative album, "Quatro Vientos // Cinco Soles."

New Jersey's Massa Nera and Los Angeles' Quiet Fear draw from their lived experiences to push the borders of introspective, impassioned hardcore and screamo. Together, the bands create a unique sonic world for "Quatro Vientos // Cinco Soles" in which the listener can become fully immersed.

Meant as a cohesive piece of art, Massa Nera and Quiet Fear worked to highlight rhythm and other non-traditional elements of hardcore without forgoing aggression. The bands take 90s-inspired screamo as their foundation and update the style for a modern audience, weaving elements of post rock, mathcore, and even Latin rhythms into their sound.

After being out-of-print for over a decade, Pageninetynine and new Richmond, Virginia-based label Persistent Vision have partnered to reissue the band's Singles LP to make this collection available for a new generation of fans.

The Singles collection documents a band that was constantly experimenting and organically growing within the realm of heavy music. The collection brings together the band's original demo tape, an early EP, a compilation track, and splits with Enemy Soil, City of Caterpillar, Circle Takes The Square, Reactor No. 7, and Process Is Dead spanning the band's original run from 1997 to 2003.

Sequenced to trace the band's history in reverse, the album opens with the experimental droner of "Goodbye Face" from their final release before taking listeners on a journey touching on loose improvised jams, piano samples, and syncopated screamo/punk freakouts ending on the raw hardcore-inspired punk energy of their demo tape.

"I think every single record was us trying to push the creativity further and further," Mike Taylor, guitarist, said when reflecting on the collection.

"The more we toured and played, we took on every influence possible. This meant we wrote long songs, short songs, fast songs, slow songs, improvised, experimented with different tunings, and wrote pretty and ugly parts."

It's all there in the Singles LP. Essential for completists, the collection showcases the sound of friends seeing where their ideas take them.

Originally recorded by Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio and released in 2001, Document #8 is a showcase to the enduring spirit of youth. Spanning fiery, emotional outbursts to beautiful, droning instrumental passages, this record is a testament to the power of punk, friendship, and the creation of art for creation's sake.

"I'm still proud of a lot Document #8 managed to achieve for me personally, in a song writing sense," Mike Taylor, guitarist, said, adding, "What stands out to me the most these days would be the staying power of Document #8 and how it manages to still resonate with people as the years go by. It's genuinely something I thought would never happen."

This reissue includes two additional songs originally released on the long out-of-print split 7" with City of Caterpillar.
