There’s a tension between humans and nature, the city and the natural world. Throughout their 11-song debut LP, “Alone In Tow,” Silica explore this contrast through a sound drenched in noise and melody.

Formed just three years ago out of London’s hardcore scene, Silica brings together three friends from bands like Hitmen, Layback, and Stages in Faith. Together, they’ve built something that feels both familiar and distinct from their previous projects, drawing from the worlds of ’90s alternative rock and post-hardcore. With influences like Hum, Catherine Wheel, Mineral, Quicksand, and Supertouch, “Alone In Tow” offers glimpses of each while creating the band’s unique sound.

Across nearly 40 minutes, the album explores belonging, purpose, anxiety, resilience, and love, using the contrasting imagery of London’s concrete landscape and its wildlife as a backdrop. “Alone In Tow” is Silica’s first full-length and their debut release on Sunday Drive Records, out everywhere this autumn.
