The Casket Lottery "Feel The Teeth"

LP - $17.25
LP UPC: 724399772903
STREET DATE: 08/29/25
CAT#: IOD-91
LABEL: Iodine Recordings

Feel The Teeth captures a band navigating the tension between exhaustion and revelation, pushing through the haze of disillusionment while still searching for meaning. Lyrically, Feel The Teeth reflects the weight of an era that has shifted in unexpected ways—personally, politically, and socially—capturing the complexities of trying to find clarity in a world that often feels out of control.

Where their 2020 album Short Songs for End Times felt like a direct confrontation with the chaos of a fractured world, Feel The Teeth dwells in the quieter aftermath, the moments of clarity amidst the noise. The album is soaked in existential fatigue—tracks like "Nightsong" and "Diamonds" bring us to the edge of the abyss, questioning the worth of it all, while grappling with the weight of personal and collective history. As Nathan Ellis explains, "Nightsong" is a reflection of how time and trauma warp the body and mind: "I don't sleep very well anymore... now I just have these moments between being awake and my hypnogogic hallucinations."

At its core, Feel The Teeth is about grappling with internal conflict. Songs like "Bell Penny" take on self-preservation versus empathy, while "Echolalia" offers a sobering realization of the passing of time: “A song about middle age enlightenment. Realizing that I spent so many years wanting, when all I needed were the moments I had.”

Throughout the record, teeth become a symbol—of the things we try to bury, of pain that refuses to be ignored, and of the subtle violence of everyday survival. Tracks like "Snake Dreams" and "Nothing Certain" explore anxiety and transformation, challenging the listener to not just endure, but to shed old skins and confront what’s lurking underneath.

If Short Songs for End Times was a roaring statement of survival, Feel The Teeth is the moment after—a quieter, more introspective reckoning with what it means to still be here, still searching for meaning, still hoping for something better even when we’re not sure what it looks like anymore. In an age where comfort is a fleeting illusion and the answers remain out of reach, Feel The Teeth is the sound of a band refusing to give up, refusing to let go.

01. Nightsong

GUCK "Gucked Up"

LP - $17.25
STREET DATE: 8/29/25
CAT#: 31G153
LABEL: Three One G

Guck is a swirling, bubbling, grinding mass that grows larger and hungrier with each passing day. The band formed in the spring of 2022 when guitarist Chappy Hull had just moved to Los Angeles and needed a place to store his Crate 2x12. Serendipitously, he met bassist Andrew Morrill and drummer Kyle Bray at a show, who offered to let him stash the amp at their practice space. Upon meeting up with synth wizard Sam Rogich to get the keys, Hull suggested the four of them get together in their now-shared practice space to play whatever unhinged ideas came to mind. This first meeting proved to be surprisingly fruitful, and they began getting together regularly to collaborate. After forming some songs and in search of a vocalist who could compliment the chaos, Rogich asked April Gerloff if they would like to try their hand at fronting a band. Gerloff, who had been primarily a noise musician and instrumentalist, was intrigued by the challenge.

Their first full length “Gucked Up” was recorded at Cave Studio in Glassell Park in 2024. The record showcases Guck's uncanny ability to combine disparate elements from across genres and distill them into ear-shattering noise. Though seemingly at risk of coming entirely apart at the seams at any moment, Guck's tightly locked rhythms and sense of compact songwriting keep it all under wraps, bolstered by jagged guitar riffing and chirping synth lines, all tied off with a strikingly absurdist sense of humor.

Guck is comprised of current and former members of Gnarwhal, Pile, Designer, Prized Pig, Sprain, Argentinum Astrum, and many, many others. Their music has been described as loud, deranged, jazz-damaged noise rock, and likened to licking a 9-volt battery.

Hundreds of AU "Life In Parallel"

LP - $17.25
LP UPC: 724399772996
STREET DATE: 08/22/25
CAT#: IOD-80
LABEL: Iodine Recordings

“Life in Parallel”, the fourth LP from Hundreds of AU, examines the hopelessness of modern life set to a soundtrack that encompasses both soaring melody and incoherent chaos. With a perspective bleeding with adulthood, but giving space to the coming of age experience in New Jersey, “Life in Parallel" weaves a narrative arc that reflects on middle age through the lens of a New Jersey coming-of-age—blending sharp social commentary with deeply personal storytelling. The album explores political unrest, the weight of loss, the hope found in parenthood, and the emotional complexity of growing older in a world that’s left us behind.”

This album premiers vocalist Brian (Lesser Minds) and bassist Buzz (Pellinore/The Banner), the two adding their own flavor and dimension to the bands pre-established brand of hardcore, screamo and punk. The band is graced with guest appearances by Geoff Rickley (Thursday/United Nations), Jon Tumillo (Folly), Rickly Slauson (Sonagi/Closer) and Adam Kaniper (Stress Spells), cementing a deeper texture of friendship and experience into the canvas of the songs.

Tracked by Joe Egan at Missile Silo Studios and mixed/mastered by John Howard at Warhouse Studios, the album channels sonic urgency and emotional weight—capturing the desperation, immediacy, and raw honesty woven throughout all ten songs.

Brought to you by the team at Iodine Recordings, we hope you can connect with “Life in Parallel” in a way that lets you know you’re not alone out there, that it’s okay to feel hopeless sometimes, and most of all, we can lift each other up with our expression of empathy.

Malevich "Under a Gilded Sun"

LP - $20.65 / CD - $12.00
STREET DATE: 8/22/25
CAT#: CRR246
LABEL: Church Road

Malevich was formed in 2016 in Atlanta Georgia by Sasha Schilbrack-Cole, Josh McIntyre, Daniel DeSimone and original vocalist Will Turner. From their inception the band has upheld an impressive DIY work ethic. Keen to make things happen for themselves, Malvich recorded and self-released their debut album ‘Only The Flies’ in the same year they formed. This would be the only album to feature Will Turner on vocals.

After extensively touring the first LP, Will decided to leave the band in 2018. Enter Connor Ray, who would help take the band into their next chapter. Initially Connor joined as a standalone vocalist, releasing a split 7” with Iron Gag as his first outing with the band. Not long after this release, Connor also picked up guitar duties, resulting in the current and longest standing lineup of the project.

Since the current line up was cemented, the band have wasted no time in further making a name for themselves. 2019 saw the band release their sophomore album ‘Our Hollow’, followed by a 4-way split (2022) and the EP ‘Trembling and Dowsed’ (2024).

Throughout these recorded offerings the band has been relentlessly touring, covering almost the entirety of the USA, as well as performing shows in Canada and the UK.

Malevich has toured and played alongside notable bands like Immortal Bird, Great Falls, Planning for Burial, Primitive Man, Bell Witch, Thou, The Body, Lingua Ignota and Liturgy. They have also made appearances at festivals such as ZBR fest (2019, 2022), Red River Music Fest (2019), Wake Brewing's anniversary festival (2022) and Subterranean Dissonance Fest (2025).

Malevich also performed on Adult Swim's experimental live performance program 'Bloodfeast Presents' in 2019, a collaborative audiovisual effort featuring set dec elements created by both band members and Adult Swim staff.

With their upcoming LP ‘Under a Gilded Sun’, Malevich wanted it to be known that they weren’t making extreme music that was void of purpose. They have a strong message behind the intense music that they create. We live in a world where beauty has been defanged. The lack of teeth found on the thoughtful side of extreme music is concerning; hordes of reverb-soaked faux-black metal bands tremolo picking for the sake of selfish art and not anger. Malevich is angry. The band looks at the material world as it exists and condemns its violent, oppressive tendencies. They seek to contrast others that adopt trendy aesthetics but purposely avoid any kind of ethical stance outside of themselves.

In the half-decade since they released ‘Our Hollow’, the Atlanta-based quartet has taken their grind-tinged, Richmond-goes-Norway sound to a space as gorgeous as it is violent. ‘Under a Gilded Sun remains’ a visceral, blackened roar while managing to expand on the more subtle elements introduced in 2024’s ‘Trembling and Dowsed’ EP by embracing something unexpected in the world of extreme music: space.

Malevich uses restraint to shape their fury, letting the powerful, dissonant blur suddenly simmer in shallow waters of clean vocals and full-on slowcore passages. Even in these rare, quieter moments, the album never seems derivative or passive, the spittle from mouths foaming with rage soaking every note. They’ve excised the fascist core of Deathspell Omega and replaced it with a clean, post-whatever, Flenser-esque tonality. It’s the hushed whisper of lovers giving way to the sound of a collapsing government building. A balance of contradictions in corpse paint and an Orchid t-shirt.

Going into the writing and recording of Under a Gilded Sun, Malevich made an intentional turn toward melody, clarity, and sonic experimentation. While the band has always written from the intersection of disparate influences, this release showcases them actualizing a sound that is singular, complex , and confidently their own.

Malevich will announce ‘Under a Gilded Sun’ on June 25th and release the lead single ‘Blossom In Full Force’.

“We want to feature ‘Blossom In Full Force’ as the first outing as it does a lot of different things musically that really showcases our direction with this album. The different sections twist into themselves, it shows more dynamics, it features more synths and layers, and has an almost uplifting, cathartic ending to it that features all three of our vocalists. Lyrically it is in direct opposition to individualism as a culture. Whether we call it neoliberalism, Thatcherism, Reaganism, etc. there's an enormous pressure on people to see themselves and others as atomized individuals, detached from each other. You succeed in this system through cut throat competition and if other people struggle it is their own fault somehow. In reality we are so dependent on each other that our very cognitive ability to recognize our own existence is reliant on the recognition of the existence of others and their affirmation that we also exist to them. We are biologically social creatures that raise our children, we care for each other, and we get lonely in isolation. The very fact that we have language is a phenomenon of collective effort. At the same time individuals do still exist and the most authentic way to be as an individual is to recognize our social dependence while also affirming everyone's right to their own creative existence. “ - Malevich

Fuck Money "Self Titled"

LP - $17.25
STREET DATE: 8/15/25
CAT#: 31G154
LABEL: Three One G

Fuck Money is not just a band — it’s a confrontation. Their name is both a provocation and a statement of purpose. Fuck Money emerged from the underground of Austin, Texas in 2021 as a collective scream against capitalism, conformity, and creative stagnation. The band consists of members TaSzlin Trébuchet (vocals) Alton Jenkins (drums), Jeremy Humphries (bass guitar) and their new guitarist Chase Dungan who joined in February 2025. Chase does not appear on the self-titled LP release, but he will be featured at upcoming live performances (August 2025) where the band will be performing entirely new and unheard material. For the band’s first full length album, former guitarist Bill Kenny is on the recording.

This genre-defying band tears through the boundaries of hardcore punk, noise, and industrial chaos. Their sound is a riot: distorted basslines, visceral screams, ripping guitars, and melodic rhythms that punch like an elite boxer. Live shows are the centerpiece of the Fuck Money experience: volatile, intimate, and often unsettling. Their live performance feels more like ritual exorcism than entertainment. Fuck Money isn't here to entertain — they're here to explode. On stage, they are unpredictable, feral, and deeply cathartic. Every show is a communion of sweat, chaos, and vulnerability that's impossible to ignore. This isn’t music for the faint of heart. Welcome to the church of Fuck Money. Salvation not included.

STREET DATE: 08/08/25
CAT#: IOD-85
LABEL: Iodine Recordings

The Dogs of Hope is a powerful new compilation from Iodine Recordings and Tom Bejgrowicz, created to raise critical funds for the Randolph County Animal Shelter in rural Alabama—a no-kill, privately run facility that’s saved thousands of animal lives despite operating without public funding or county support.

Featuring new or previously unreleased music from a genre-defining lineup—Killswitch Engage, Deadguy, Snapcase, Orange 9mm, and more—The Dogs of Hope unites heavyweights from across the hardcore and punk scenes in support of an urgent cause. Of the 14 tracks, 13 are exclusive to this release, with one previously available only in Japan. Many were created specifically for this project, underscoring the deep ties between independent music and community care.

Spearheaded and designed by longtime industry veteran Tom Bejgrowicz, whose diverse background includes A&R, marketing, and design work for Quicksand, The Beastie Boys and Johnny Cash and more, the project is co-produced by Iodine Recordings mastered by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Quicksand, Joyce Manor), with cover art by Jeremy Dean (Green Day, The Rolling Stones, The Bronx).

100% of net profits from physical and digital sales go directly to the Randolph County Animal Shelter in Wedowee, AL, where a small team faces overwhelming need every day in a region with no public animal control or spay/neuter programs. The shelter has operated at full capacity since 2021—and continues to do life-saving work against long odds.

“This isn’t about changing the whole world,” says Bejgrowicz, who began volunteering at RCAS in 2020. “It’s about changing a world—one animal at a time.”

Kowloon Walled City "Turk Street"

LP - $17.25
STREET DATE: 08/08/25
CAT#: VIS025
LABEL: Persistent Vision

In the world of heavy music, few bands embrace dynamics and negative space like Oakland, CA’s Kowloon Walled City. Since forming 18 years ago, the band has increasingly refined its deconstructed approach to noise rock, math rock, and sludge.

Out of print for the past several years, Persistent Vision is proud to present a much needed and overdue reissue of Kowloon Walled City’s first release, “Turk Street.” Originally released in 2008, the five song EP captures the band at their heaviest, grittiest and most pummeling. Where the band later explored quieter, minimalist dynamics, “Turk Street” finds them leaning hard into their noise rock and sludge roots, taking inspiration from bands such as Shallow North Dakota, Unsane and Neurosis.

“Turk Street” was engineered and mixed by guitarist Scott Evans, whose engineering work includes Sumac, Great Falls, and others. The 12" release comes packaged in a full color jacket with matte finish, and is available on two color variants, Red Cloudy and Grey Cloudy, each limited to 250 copies.

Sledges is Philly Gomez (vocals and guitar), Alex Angulo (bass), Julian Romero (guitar), Mason Haidar (drums) Sledges’ origin starts in mid 2020 taking place in the area of Chula Vista California. From the boredom and freetime during the pandemic Sledges started as a three piece and wasted no time writing original material. The group recorded and released more singles throughout 2021-2023 and added a fourth member to play lead guitar. Some notable singles during that time include “Headwinds” (2022) and “Disgusting” (2023).

The group took inspiration from bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Nothing, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Hum with its heavy but lush wall of guitars while adding their own flavor. Sledges experimented with acoustic guitars, melodic choruses, drum samples and My Bloody Valentine-esque leads. The group wanted to simply write strong songs that can stand on their own. DROUGHT "Souvenir"

LP - $17.25
LP UPC: 724399772774
STREET DATE: 07/18/25
CAT#: IOD-88
LABEL: Iodine Recordings

While many hardcore bands focus their fury outward, Drought turns inward—channeling personal struggle to chart a different path. Formed in 2022, the Bay Area band—guitarists Eric Nakano and RJ Rabe, drummer Ray Avila, and vocalist Viggy Ram—found common ground in shared influences like Pianos Become the Teeth, mewithoutYou, and Title Fight to overcome personal hardships and isolation. After recording a three-song EP in 2022, Drought brought their emotionally charged live shows to stages alongside Jeromes Dream and vs self before catching the attention of Iodine Recordings.

Now, Drought returns with Souvenir, recorded to tape by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Gouge Away) at Atomic Garden Studios. The result? Souvenir sounds less like a debut and more like an established act. These thirteen songs channel moods and emotion with conviction, shaped by years of perspective. Guest vocals from Patrick Flynn (Fiddlehead/Have Heart), Eric Butler (Mom Jeans), and Alex Rudenshiold (Infant Island) lend further weight to Souvenir, weaving with the band’s dynamic arrangements and situating the record firmly in the evolving world of post-hardcore and emo. Against a background of balanced melody and dissonance, Viggy Ram’s lyricism is as introspective as it is existential, as he sings on the first single ‘We’re the Flora’: “They say all flowers in time bend toward the sun, so when I find the light, what will I become?”

Souvenir arrives July 2025 via Iodine Recordings.

Starling "Forgive Me,"

LP - $17.90
STREET DATE: 7/18/25
CAT#: SDR-135
LABEL: Sunday Drive

Confusion, frustration, love and loss are all expressed throughout the first album, “Forgive Me,” from Los Angeles alternative band, Starling. Written over the course of about a year, the LA band recorded themselves in various sheds, apartments, and garages. The record was mixed by drummer, Erik Sathrum Johnson, artwork was shot by the band and their friends, and then mastered by Greg Obis (MJ Lenderman, Wishy, Duster).

Songs like “Quiet” start off with a slow and delicate melody, and then explode in sound halfway through. The guitars in the song were recorded in the middle of summer in a garage with no AC—a physically intense, almost spiritual experience that bleeds into the recording. The lead single, “I Can Be Convinced” is a sad and yearning song, with a need to be still; yet ironically, it’s one of the most upbeat songs on the record.

The album closes with the nearly seven-minute “Keep It” a track Starling had been performing since early 2024. Lyrically charged with frustration, it builds tension through eerie, hushed verses that give way to a loud, distorted chorus—showcasing the band’s ability to channel emotion through dynamic contrast.

With “Forgive Me,” Starling has crafted a deeply personal and fully DIY record, shaping every sonic detail themselves. The result is an album where every melody, rhythm, and raw feeling is intentionally placed and unmistakably theirs.

TRACK LISTING:
01. Quiet
02. I Can Be Convinced
03. My Love

06. Slow Down

Commoner "Change of Heart"

12" EP - $17.90
STREET DATE: 7/11/25
CAT#: NMZ083
LABEL: New Morality Zine

Tucson’s Commoner returns with their latest EP, a three-song journey through transition, escape, and resolution. Blending emo, alternative, and post-hardcore, the band delivers a raw, dynamic sound that balances intensity with vulnerability.

"Change of Heart" captures the ache of shifting relationships and the distance that grows between people: “I run in circles to remind you, you stray away, without a trace.” "Test Your Luck" reflects the desperation of feeling trapped and the moment of breaking free: “Breathe taken again, to the end I’ll pray, know where to aim, shoot right through me.” Finally, "Parting Gift" closes the EP with a cathartic release of resentment, confronting the past with unflinching honesty: “I’ll wait for you to tell me how you’re different, so speak your truth, but I can’t stand the distance.”

Working with producer Zach Tuch (Touche Amore, Knocked Loose, Zulu), Commoner has refined their sound, leaning into soaring melodies, tight rhythms, and an emotional weight that lingers. Influenced by bands like Citizen, Movements, and Incubus, they carve out a space that feels both nostalgic and fresh. With their high-energy live shows and a relentless drive, this is just the beginning.

All Leather "Amateur Surgery On Half-Hog Abortion Island"

2xLP - $22.50
STREET DATE: 7/11/25
CAT#: 31G151
LABEL: Three One G

ALL LEATHER is the soundtrack to a dance party at the epicenter of doom and destruction: heavy distortions, sharp, grating guitars, bitter, angry shouts fused with sexual slurs. In the span of its limited time as an active band, All Leather consisted of Nathan Joyner (Psychic Graveyard, Some Girls, Hot Nerds) on guitar, either Jung Sing (Silent, Maniqui Lazer) or Tin Cagayat on drums, and Justin Pearson (The Locust, Deaf Club, Dead Cross) on vocals. The genre is self-described as, bluntly stated: “annoying.”

This anthology, titled Amateur Surgery on Half-Hog Abortion Island (in classic All Leather fashion), is a complete collection of their odd and brief existence. All of the songs in this collection have been either re-recorded, recorded over, and/or revamped, presenting an invigorated vision to their body of music. This re-imagining showcases All Leather’s unique perspective in the only way they know how: with snarling grit and electronic grime.

Amateur Surgery On Half-Hog Abortion Island recorded by Mike Kamoo at Earthling, Brent Asbury at Singing Serpent, and Nathan Joyner at Cereal and Soda in San Diego, CA. Mixed, remixed, and mastered by Nathan Joyner. Pressed on limited edition color vinyl w/ faux leather cover.

Pygmy Lush "TOTEM"

LP - $17.25 / CD - $7.00 / CASSETTE - $7.00.
STREET DATE: 7/11/25
CAT#: VIS024
LABEL: Persistent Vision

TOTEM is the first new album from Virginia's Pygmy Lush in 14 years. Like their previous output, it was recorded and mixed by longtime friend and collaborator of the band, Kurt Ballou, at GodCity Studio in Massachusetts in April 2016. And as with their other three full lengths, Pygmy Lush — the band sworn to never break up, only take breaks — is readily recognizable here: a bit different, and a bit the same. Unlike their earlier work though, TOTEM sat (or stood, fully formed and erect) complete, yet unheard — unreleased, “shelved” or “lost” — until now.

As sure as you can’t unring a bell, the album’s 11 songs are no less than eight years old, but couldn’t be unmade short of direct and total cataclysm. If you already know Pygmy Lush and their modus operandi over these last two decades, you already know to check your baggage and leave all expectations behind. When others zig, Pygmy Lush zag. When the show is loud, Pygmy Lush are quiet. And so it goes. TOTEM is no exception, but also stands alone within the band's body of work, a monolithic sum of its Pygmy Lush parts.

The Taylor brothers, Mike and Chris, are here, as is Pygmy Lush mainstay Mike Widman. You won’t find Johnny Ward this go around, but life partners and rhythm section extraordinaires Andy Gale and Erin McCarley are crucial new tiers among the seismic sonic and cosmic shifts coursing through TOTEM’s roughly 40 minute — epic yet direct — running time.

The result is a heavy rock album that’s actually aware of the 21st century: all-at-once comfortable with its punk rock, noise rock and art rock roots. It’s a grunge stunt pedigree, signaling the puddles of drool pooling around snooze gaze contemporaries and an altogether beat hardcore flock.

Chris Taylor’s melodic bark hasn’t been this nimble since his post-Pageninetynine output with Malady, while the Mike’s — Taylor and Widman — dish out a heady maelstrom of strings on par with Moore and Renaldo’s finest foundational moves. Similarly, Erin McCarley’s low-end verve and rationed vocals are transcendent; unmistakably her own while of a piece with the band. Andy Gale can and does beat the shit outta his kit here: disciplined and certain. There’s no rules, just right.

Matching its expansive sonics and lacerating lyrical content, TOTEM is also a feast for your eyes, compliments of new sculptural artwork designed by Paul Nitsche, whose epic pieces have graced past work for Dazzling Killmen and Andrew Bird. This gorgeously packaged LP comes in a matte jacket with copper foil stamp and includes a foldout poster with collaged lyrics.

Following an unexpected return to live performance in late 2024 with their memorable set on NPR's Tiny Desk, then their international debut at Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands, Pygmy Lush have resumed their eternal whirr full force. Whether you’ve been saving a place at home for TOTEM, on your shelves alongside their Bitter River, Mount Hope and Old Friends albums, or, this is the very first piece to construct your own personal Pygmy Lush puzzle, the band and this album’s timeline are a “Nonsensical Whisper” that continues to rip and roar. The sound is immortal, and these tunes are as vital now as their first time ringing out. Tell your grandkids it’s Nirvana, or Born Against, or Document 13 and a half.

TRACK LISTING:
01. House of Blood (Butch’s Monster)
02. It Wasn’t a Compliment (Martial Law Blues)
03. A Little Boy and His Bulldozer

Denisa is an artist/musician from Jakarta, Indonesia.

St. Bernadette" is her beautifully melancholic sophomore album. Comprised of ten emotional songs that serve as vignettes on mortality and existential perseverance.

"This second album pictures a memorial. Starts at birth, then from being a rotten kid to a filthy adolescent, the crud of falling in love, clawing the sickening paths of filling the cavity, cheating death, accepting failing death, and becoming fearless of the afterlife - all in one memorandum. These records do not tell a full-blown novel-like story but rather little parts of existence that make me feel big. I am big, I am a great bear, and I’ve conquered existence. I have not dug out my grave, I laid still in it and soaked in the grim, the penance, and the light(s) at the end of the tunnel." - Denisa Dhaniswara
