New York, Boston, LA… American hardcore’s most lauded scenes better watch out for Idaho. Ingrown aren’t just Boise’s loudest export, they’re one of the most vicious and uniquely compelling up-and-coming bands in all of aggressive music, and their sophomore full-length, Idaho, is the gun-toting, dirt-bike-riding, hell-raising proof.

Ingrown–vocalist/guitarist Ross Hansen, bassist Gavin McWilliams, and drummer Charlie Ritch–started in 2015, and over the course of the past decade they’ve gone from being their state’s best kept secret to an internationally touring juggernaut. The group released their debut album GUN in 2021 (drawing attention from the likes of Stereogum, Revolver, Decibel, and more), and toured it heavily supporting bands like Trapped Under Ice, Regional Justice Center, Drain, and Pain of Truth. The time on the road further honed their already razor sharp chops, laying the groundwork for the unbridled aggression that is Idaho.

Recorded with Andy Nelson (Jesus Piece, Pain of Truth, Inclination, Weekend Nachos) at Bricktop Studio In Chicago, Idaho pushes Ingrown’s visceral sonics even further into the red. “Andy understands our band and our sound better than we do sometimes,” says Hansen. “He has an amazing way of capturing a performance in the most precise way possible without losing any rawness or power.” Clocking in at eleven songs over just 18 minutes, the album swings between pummelling heaviness and blistering speed, drawing on the technicality of death metal and thrash without losing the unhinged spark of hardcore and powerviolence.

Idaho is above all else an ode to Ingrown’s home state and the indelible impact living there has had on the band members. Tracks like “Cold Steel,” “Bullet,” and “Enemy” paint a picture of guns, bikes, and self-reliance, but that’s just one side of Ingrown’s coin. The group’s love for their local community permeates Idaho, lending it a surprisingly earnest and heartfelt touch for a record that also makes you want to smash your head through a brick wall. It’s an album that has nothing but vitriol for the woefully inadequate institutions that have been broken by corruption and greed, instead encouraging the kind of strength that’s found within yourself and the people closest to you. “We’re all on our own in life and that can make you feel alone and helpless,” Hansen explains. “You only have your family and your community to support you. But knowing that can be freeing–you have the power to direct your own life.”

Idaho comes to a close with three tracks that capture Ingrown at their most unexpectedly compelling and unrelentingly crushing. First there’s “Asylum,” a song originally written by Hansen’s father, Erik, for his ‘80s hardcore band, State of Confusion. The track first appeared on S.O.C.’s 1988 debut album, A Street (“some of the first music I heard, and some of the best hardcore there is,” says the younger Hansen), and now it’s resurfaced with an Ingrown update on Idaho. The result is a feel-good moment within a feel-pissed song that still rips 37 years later.

Then there’s the penultimate track, “Hellbound,” a thunderous stomper that somehow manages to top the heaviness that just ensued in the previous sixteen minutes. As its final moments of shrieking feedback end, a plaintive chord rings out played by an acoustic guitar and banjo. These are the first notes of Idaho’s title track and closer, a medley of classic Irish jigs that the band has performed live. Ingrown proudly describe themselves as a band for “people who like Obituary, No Comment, 25 Ta Life, and Waylon Jennings” and while there’s certainly something funny about Idaho likely being the absolute heaviest album of 2025 to feature a mandolin, the title track isn’t a joke. Hansen’s earliest musical background includes learning to play bluegrass on Irish tenor banjo, and it makes “Idaho” feel like one more deeply felt exclamation point album that’s truly honest and assured in its sense of place–and the ways that place can shape you. In fact, “Idaho” is full of the same speed-picking and swagger that powers the rest of the album, and just like the preceding ten tracks it’s uniquely and thoroughly Ingrown.

Love Cry "Planting Bombs"

CDEP - $7.00
STREET DATE: 12/05/25
CAT#: SDR-153
LABEL: Sunday Drive

Long Island has always carried a distinct sound within hardcore, post-hardcore, and alternative music in general. The sound is inherently in Love Cry’s DNA. On their debut EP, “Planting Bombs”, the band expands on that foundation with a diverse mix of influences.

Songwriter Gerry Windus, who grew up on Long Island and played in various local bands, takes a different approach here. With Love Cry, he merges the electronic textures of The Postal Service with the raw, noisy edge of Neutral Milk Hotel, with a foundation of Long Island staples like Nightmare of You and Silent Majority.

Though “Planting Bombs” is Love Cry’s first release, the songwriting is already confident with a clear sense of identity, and one that feels refreshingly distinct.

Enuf "Demo 1988"

7" EP - $7.00
STREET DATE: 12/05/25
CAT#: RADIO-033
LABEL: Radio Raheem

In the fall of 1987, aspiring Hardcore vocalist Ajay James hung a flyer in central Jersey record store Vintage Vinyl looking for musicians to form a Straight Edge Hardcore band. “It had so many X’s on it that it looked like a treasure map!” jokes guitarist Andy White, who called the number on the flyer to offer his services. Drummer Ari Katz and bassist Rich Seymour were already in the mix and practices with Andy began above Cheap Thrills, a record store located in the college town of New Brunswick.

Throughout the summer of 1988, Enuf played gigs with New York bands like Sick Of It All as well as local bands Shades Apart, Crucial Fun, and Bottom Line, who would later change their name to Release. With the courage gained from both finally being able to play their instruments and a steady stream of shows, the group decided to take a stab at recording, at a studio called Trax East that was right down the road from Andy’s house and used by other New Jersey bands such as TMA, Vision, and Sticks and Stones. The seven tracks laid down that day showed the influence New York Hardcore had on the band, most especially bands like Breakdown and Token Entry, but it was Enuf’s own brand of suburban Straight Edge fury and the unique style and charisma of their frontman that pushed it beyond the many demo tapes flooding the tri-state Hardcore scene at the time. Once the demo tape got out, Enuf got a substantial amount of gigs through the fall of 1988 with Raw Deal and Beyond as well as a monumental one with Bold, Vision and Life’s Blood on their home turf of New Brunswick at Scott Hall on the Rutgers campus.

1989 saw bass player Pete being kicked out due to breaking edge with Andy taking his place and Chip Iatoro, who played briefly with Enuf during their formative stages, taking over on guitar. But by the spring of that year, the band began to fall apart. They ended up playing their last show on April 30, 1989 at the Fast Lane in Asbury Park with some of the hardest of New York Hardcore: Raw Deal, Maximum Penalty, and Uppercut.

Over the years, the demo tape Enuf recorded in 1988 has taken on a mystique with those attracted to the lesser-known bands from this era of east coast Hardcore. Perhaps Ari going on to front the popular 90s band Lifetime has something to do with it as well. Whatever excuse you wish to place upon the interest, the songs still hold up as a passionately executed batch of solid tunes. Give it an ear and don’t forget to mosh, sucka!

7" includes a 7"x21" fold out insert with liner notes, lyrics, photos and flyers.

01. Sucka Mosh
02. Face The Music
03. I Just Wanna Skate

The Attack "The Attack Is Back"

LP - $15.30
STREET DATE: 12/05/25
CAT#: RADIO-034
LABEL: Radio Raheem

The Attack was formed in 1979 by three guys from Astoria, Queens: Jason Deranged (vocals), Alex Morris (guitar) and Steve Pain (drums). Jason had put an ad in the Village Voice looking to form a band, and through the many responses he received, he got together with Alex and Steve and later, bassist Zal, who was an accomplished jazz player from Manhattan. The Attack began playing out around town with frequent shows at Max’s Kansas City, CBGB and 171A, performing alongside other young New York bands like The Stimulators, The Undead and The Eliminators. Soon after, the infamous A7 club opened its doors to punk music and The Attack became a monthly fixture.

In April of 1981 the band entered Second Story Sound in Long Island City to record an album. Seven songs were recorded, but due to a lack of funds the tapes were shelved and the record was never released.

By 1982, The Attack lost Zal to a drug overdose and Jason to a prison stint in Rikers Island. The band attempted to soldier on with various replacement bass players (including Vinnie Stigma of future Agnostic Front fame) but things came to an end shortly after. By the end of the year Alex would form Murphys Law, and Jason and Steve would start Krieg Kopf the following year.

Featuring 7 studio and 10 live songs recorded at NYC's most notorious punk venues (A7, 171A and CBGB), this LP compiles 17 tracks of never-before-heard Lower East Side punk that existed in the brief transitional period between the end of the 1970s NYC punk explosion and the beginnings of the 1980s New York hardcore scene. Also included is a 12"x24" full color insert filled with band ephemera and liner notes.

fawn "Paper Thin"

LP - $16.60
STREET DATE: 11/21/25
CAT#: SDR-148
LABEL: Sunday Drive

Hailing from San Antonio/Austin, Texas Fawn has stood out in the Texas scene with their noisy and atmospheric performances, joining alongside a mix from supporting touring artists to a local hardcore show. Singer and composer, Trevor Humphreys’ vocal melodies softly carry the songs gracefully, with driving rhythms from drummer, Jes Morales, bassist, Olivia Jacome, and guitarist Giovannis Campos.

“Paper Thin” marks Fawn’s first proper release on Sunday Drive Records and their first full project since 2022’s self-titled EP. While the record stays true to the band’s established sound, these four tracks feel both expansive and stripped down, layered yet effortlessly composed. Each song runs just past the four-minute mark, but doesn’t feel like it, because of the memorable melodies and guitar leads that can easily get stuck in your head.

With “Paper Thin”, Fawn continues to set themselves apart and further solidifies their place in Texas’ thriving alternative-rock scene.

Negative Blast "Destroy Myself For Fun"

LP - $17.25
STREET DATE: 11/14/25
CAT#: 31G157
LABEL: Three One G

Negative Blast formed in San Diego during the depths of the pandemic when longtime buds Rainier Pesebre (vocals) and Alexander Jacobelli (guitar) began trading riffs and ideas in isolation. Jacobelli and bassist Patrick Callaway were touring buddies in their respective bands Lewd Acts and Hour of the Wolf during the early 2000s hardcore punk renaissance. Within two weeks of Rain and Alex jamming ideas, Pat relocated from Chicago to San Diego, cementing the songwriting core of the band.

Jacobelli, who operates Sunsick Studio in La Mesa, engineered and mixed the band’s early recordings, allowing Negative Blast to develop and release material quickly. Their first EP, The First Four Months, was followed by DEMO 002. Initial shows featured Sam Rich (Del Vipers, Riverboat Gamblers) on drums before the group began work on their first LP, Echo Planet, released through Quiet Panic Records.

Midway through the record, Callaway reached out to Mario Rubalcaba (Earthless, Hot Snakes, Rocket From the Crypt), who joined on drums. With Rubalcaba, the band released a split with LA hardcore act SWEAT via Vitriol Records. In 2025, drummer Hunter Martinez (Decent Criminal, Human Issue) stepped in as a permanent member. His energy is captured on the band’s 2025 full-length, Destroy Myself For Fun. Negative Blast’s live résumé includes sharing stages with Botch, Unsane, Deaf Club, The Bled, Finch, Darkest Hour, Swing Kids, Clikatat Ikatowi, Lower Class Brats, The Bronx, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Loma Prieta, City of Caterpillar, High Vis, and 7 Seconds, among others.

Secret World "Tomorrow Is A Mystery To Me"

LP - $17.25
STREET DATE: 11/07/25
CAT#: SDR-144
LABEL: Sunday Drive

Secret World deliver hearty, hardcore rock ‘n’ roll with an earnest charm. Comprised of friends who connected through the Sydney and Newcastle hardcore scenes, Secret World members played in other bands like SPEED, Trophy Eyes and Downside before forming the group in 2023; soon releasing their highly-praised EP Guilt Is Good in 2024, led by the anthemic single ‘Living Less’. Now, Secret World are on the verge of releasing their second EP Tomorrow Is A Mystery To Me.

Arriving on September 19 via Last Ride Records (AU/NZ), Sunday Drive Records (USA) and Ice Grills (JP), Tomorrow Is A Mystery To Me builds upon Secret World’s rock ‘n’ roll foundation with the urgency of hardcore punk and hook-laden choruses drawn from alt-rock sensibilities. While the EP is filled with emotive storytelling and extended anecdotes, it paints a clear picture of a band who are intent on seizing this moment, pushing forward with purpose, and giving it their absolute all.

Lead single ‘Good Faith’ features Sydney rock royalty Shogun (Royal Headache, Antenna) and fuses punchy and melodic vocals, leading into an infectious stadium-sized hook. Elsewhere, the ravaging ‘Repeat Offender’ is gritty and unapologetic; while the breezier riffs of ‘Everywhere Now’ trade aggression for reflection - a love letter to the hardcore scene and the friends they’ve lost along the way, blending grief with gratitude and everything in between.

Tomorrow Is A Mystery To Me was produced, recorded and mixed by Fletcher Matthews (Dear Seattle, Trophy Eyes) ** and mastered by Mike Kalajian at Rogue Planet (Quicksand, Saves The Day). Despite the clean sound, the EP still retains the energy of a sweat-drenched pub that’s packed to the brim, filled with sing-a-longs beside friends and strangers that you’ve just met. There’s no doubt that Secret World songs are made to be experienced live, with the band already selling out their own headline shows in Australia and playing alongside internationals like Basement, Drain and No Pressure.

Secret World are soon taking to the United States for the first time, touring alongside UK champions High Vis; and also playing at Furnace Fest with pioneers like Jimmy Eat World, Dropkick Murphys and Knocked Loose. Armed with a new EP and a raucous live show to boot, the band are charging into new territory - louder, sharper, and more sure of themselves than ever.

Our present moment sees us grappling with the rise of end-times fascism, the annihilation of collective, shared meaning, and the looming threat of climate catastrophe. It is within this landscape that Massa Nera release their urgent, genre-defying 3rd LP, "The Emptiness of All Things."

Having been given a commission by the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music to create a work that addresses the climate crisis, Massa Nera embraced experimentation, confrontation, and musical malfeasance in an attempt to capture the hellish inanity that defines our reality. Where once their songs bounced, they now alternately lumber and convulse. Their former impulse towards dance has mutated into a desire for destruction.

Lyrically, Massa Nera has shunned autobiography in favor of something more character-driven, more literary, more speculative. They offer a snapshot of capitalistic delusion and existential paralysis, rooted in the anxieties and fractured psychologies of the here and now. In short, "The Emptiness of All Things" is a lyrical call to arms, delivered not as a rallying cry but as an obituary. It is a mirror held up to the abyss, reflected back at the listener without pity or mawkish sentiment.

Despite this, the band has not abandoned melody. The predominant mood of ugliness is counterbalanced by passages of beauty, longing, and even undisguised gentleness. This gentleness, however, is not in service of an unearned, misplaced optimism. It is offered in the spirit of reflection, allowing listener and band alike to take a breath as they stare into the void.

"The Emptiness of All Things" was recorded and mixed by Matt Michael (No Man, Majority Rule) and mastered by James Plotkin (Khanate). The LP comes packaged in a gatefold jacket with newsprint poster insert and limited colored vinyl.

Deaf Club "Contemporary Sickness (2025 Reissue)"

7" EP - $8.75
STREET DATE: 10/31/25
CAT#: 31G107
LABEL: Three One G

Deaf Club is a savage sound bath dripping with sardonicism: a blastbeat-centric hardcore punk assault channeling crust, thrash, and grind (un)sensibilities. Succinct pauses, surreal frequencies and effects, breakneck pace and sharply hurled vocals characterize the band’s aesthetic, which seems as though it is rooted in a sort of nasty-sound-meets-highbrow-message ethos. Fueled by the onslaught of society’s insanity and driven mad by tinnitus, Justin Pearson (The Locust, Dead Cross, Planet B), Brian Amalfitano (ACxDC), Scott Osment (Weak Flesh), and Jason Klein (Run With The Hunted) approach music as an opportunity to confront our collective sicknesses. We’ve got to try to listen, lest we all frolic headfirst towards the bright side of death, dragging this pillaged planet down with us. So whether you think the music is a radical disruption to the airwaves or just headache-inducing noise, you can feel free to tell them the brutal truth-- they can't hear you anyway.

Spiritiste "Excommunication Hymns"

LP - $15.95
STREET DATE: 10/31/25
CAT#: PRO-106
LABEL: Protagonist Music

From Louisiana’s capital city of Baton Rouge come Spiritiste, an occult-influenced emotional hardcore band. Spiritiste's politically charged debut album, Excommunication Hymns, is a rage-filled effort that rallies against religious and political oppression, and reflects on the emotional trauma of trying to survive in the current fetid political climate/environment. Still, across these ten very expressive, cathartic tracks, the band does ultimately retain hope for a better world.

Sonically, Spiritiste have crafted a fresh, but identifiable, sound with dynamics that shift between steady and composed to chaotic sonic bedlam. Spiritiste draw upon core influences that include '90s hardcore bands like Shotmaker and Portraits of Past, but also salute noise rock mainstays Jesus Lizard and Chat Pile, and contemporary screamo acts like State Faults, Habak, and Frail Body.

Recorded and produced by Matt Bear, and mastered by Alan Douches, Excommunication Hymns presents a fully realized vision out-of-the-gate and establishes a musical call-to-arms for those marginalized and traumatized by a deeply rooted authoritarian culture.

Believe in Nothing "Rot"

LP - $20.65 / CD - $12.00
STREET DATE: 10/31/25
CAT#: CRR254
LABEL: Church Road

Due for release on 31st October 2025 via Church Road Records, Rot is Believe In Nothing’s full-length debut and the culmination of their bleak creative vision. It chisels into granite their counter-intuitive approach to heaviness: equal parts chaos and control, volume and restraint, with layered textures collapsing under their own weight. Where earlier singles hinted at suffocating tension, Rot dives headlong into the abyss, using pressure, space, and psychological decay to conjure a world that feels like it’s been burning for years. The title track, “Rot”, already a staple in their live set, appears at the end of shows for a reason: a final, devastating statement that refuses to comfort. A cracked mirror held up to the slow, grinding death of the familiar which leaves no closure, only aftermath.

TRACK LISTING:
01. Complete Desolation
02. What Would You Do?
03. Fist Full of Worms
04. Gut
05. Meth
06. Boiling Stone

Leaving Time "Loop / Live Beneath"

LP - $8.00
STREET DATE: 01/16/26
CAT#: SDR-154
LABEL: Sunday Drive

Just a year after their debut LP, “Angel in the Sand”, Leaving Time returns with a new two-song release, “Loop / Live Beneath”. Recorded earlier this fall at Matt Talbott’s (Hum) Earth Analog Studios with Zac Montez (Whirr, Cloakroom, Turnover), the band expands their sound with their longest tracks to date, and both surpassing five minutes.

Despite their length, ‘Loop’ and ‘Live Beneath’ feel significant and melodic with Leaving Time writing their most expansive songs in their discography. Rather than leaning on a slow build, the band creates a dynamic in each that makes the songs slide away, with a strong foundation of melody that linger after they end.

TRACK LISTING:
01. Loop
02. Live Beneath

MARKETING POINTS:

  • Currently on fall tour with Koyo
  • Mixed by Zac Montez (Whirr, Cloakroom, Turnover)
  • Recorded at Matt Talbott's (Hum) Earth Analog Studios
