Inspired by 90’s emo and alternative rock, MyVeronica began as the solo project of singer/guitarist Mia Lin. Founded in 2002 in Italy, Raein released a dizzying amount of music, across multiple splits, EPs and albums, while extensively touring the world during their original run. "Aeiou are another very promising band bringing back second wave emo, and shoutout to my friend Eli Enis for introducing me to them just days before they opened for The Ritornello Form in NYC. They’re NYC locals (who share members with Holidays In United States and Cash Only Tonys), and their debut EP Jesse Ward kicks off with a song called “Supreme & Bowery” that gives you a very good idea of what they’re all about.

It opens with the mock sound of someone flipping through radio stations with sound bites that are full of inside jokes for emo nerds, and when the actual song kicks in, Aeiou prove that their emo quips come with emo chops. “Supreme & Bowery” punches you in the gut with a riff that’s just breakdowny enough to suggest Aeiou have some heavier post-hardcore or metalcore in their DNA, but once the vocals kick in, it’s soaring, yearning, ’90s-style emo in its purest form."

16 Underground formed in early 2022 out of a spirit of experimentation. The four Los Angeles-based musicians, whose musical backgrounds vary (but, notably, veer into hardcore/punk territory), wanted to push their creative limits by delving into sounds and textures that weren’t accessible through their previous projects—a new sonic palette inspired more by vintage trip-hop, ambient music, and electronic pop than the guitar-based modes they cut their teeth on.

“Without a Trace”, due out August 14 via Sunday Drive Records, was produced in collaboration with Max Epstein (Photographic Memory, Car Underwater). The band’s sophomore effort leans into a sound that still resonates in today’s dreampop landscape while also reflecting the retro radio influences to which the group pays homage. Synths swirl in stereo while lo-fi trip-hop backbeats churn. Keyboards gesture at times towards loungey jazz; guitars towards emo and shoegaze. Subsonic bass frequencies throb; digital artifacts and samples blip and whisper. Amidst it all, the ethereal, melodic vocals lull the listener into a state of bittersweet bliss.

A special 25th anniversary edition of the classic and iconic album from Virginia’s pageninetynine. Recorded by Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio and originally released in 2001, Document #8 is a showcase to the enduring spirit of youth and punk rock.

This updated deluxe edition comes packaged in a stark black and white gatefold jacket with embossed cover artwork, an homage to an early version of the release. The LP includes a 16 page booklet, a foldout poster, and limited colored vinyl. It includes two additional songs originally released on the long out-of-print split 7" with City of Caterpillar.

Started in 1997, pageninetynine is a band founded in Sterling, Virginia who redefined what "punk rock" could mean and be, touring relentlessly and releasing a plethora of albums, splits, singles and more... all from a venerable squad of miscreants on the outskirts of the nation's capital. Pageninetynine is celebrated as one of the long running torchbearers of chaotic and emotional hardcore alongside contemporaries such as Orchid, Saetia, Raein, and Jeromes Dream.
